About

P1100622

I am currently an Assistant Curator at the National Portrait Gallery, PhD candidate at the University of Warwick, and the owner of Dressing History, a company specialising in reproduction historical garments and accessories. My academic interests include the history of fashion and clothing, experimental archaeology, shopping, material culture, and portraiture; however I am also interested in museum policy, especially in regards to volunteers, exhibitions, public engagement, and collections care.

For more information about my work, please see my profile on the Warwick website at warwick.ac.uk/sfcdyer.

This blog will primarily be a place to reflect on my academic research, my involvement in museums, my experiences of life as a PhD student, and my own thoughts and opinions on history, art, and literature.
